Tuscan Harvest Retreat
October 31 - November 4, 2026
As summer gives way to autumn, Tuscany enters one of its most beautiful seasons. The olive groves are alive with harvest, the countryside glows in warm golden tones, and life follows a slower, more intentional rhythm. Our yoga practices are designed to meet you where you are and offer something different each day.
Expect a blend of dynamic, energising Vinyasa flows and slower, more grounding practices that invite you to turn inward. At the heart of every session is the connection between breath and movement—creating space to explore the body, build strength, move with curiosity, and leave feeling both empowered and at ease.
Breathwork and meditation are naturally woven into the practices, encouraging a deeper sense of awareness both on and beyond the mat.
All levels of experience are welcome. Every practice will offer space to adapt, explore, and move in a way that feels right for you.
All sessions are taught in English.
Your Yoga Instructor
Vanessa has been teaching yoga for over 15 years, with a practice shaped by a lifelong curiosity for movement and wellbeing.
Swiss-South African and based between Zürich and Hamburg, Vanessa has spent much of her life living and travelling around the world. Her own yoga journey has been equally international, learning from teachers across different cultures, traditions, and approaches to movement.
Her teaching draws on this experience alongside a background in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, prenatal yoga, fitness, and other movement practices. Her classes balance strength and fluidity with mindfulness, encouraging students to explore what their bodies are capable of while remaining connected to breath and sensation.
At Marsi Retreats, Vanessa brings these influences together to create practices that feel energising yet grounding—leaving space for challenge, curiosity, stillness, and simply enjoying the experience of moving.
The Italian Kitchen
Food is at the heart of Italian life, and it will be at the heart of your time with us.
Throughout the retreat, meals will be inspired by the season and the traditions of the Italian kitchen: fresh, colourful ingredients, simple recipes prepared with care, and dishes designed to be passed around and enjoyed together.
Mornings might begin with fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade cakes, bread and preserves, eggs, coffee and tea. Later in the day, expect abundant tables filled with seasonal vegetables, salads, handmade dishes, local cheeses & meat, freshly baked bread, fragrant herbs and the comforting flavours of Tuscany.
Our approach to nourishment is not about restriction or rules. It is about eating well, enjoying what is in season, appreciating where our food comes from, and taking the time to truly savour it.
And, just as importantly, it is about the table itself: plates being passed, glasses filled, stories exchanged, and nowhere else you need to be.
Come for the movement, nature and Tuscan landscape. You may find yourself staying for the food.
